Refined Hospitality Overlooking the Casino de Monte-Carlo
The Le Prince de Galles residence in Monte Carlo is one of Monaco’s most iconic buildings, located in the heart of the Carré d’Or and renowned for its hexagonal architecture, which makes each apartment unique and complex to design. This distinctive feature, combined with its privileged location directly overlooking the Monte Carlo Casino, made the interior design project both fascinating and challenging.
Spazio Italiano was entrusted with the interior decoration of one of the most prestigious apartments in the residence, featuring a terrace with private pool. The client’s request was clear: to create a luxurious yet welcoming home, capable of hosting numerous guests, while remaining elegant and in harmony with the exclusive atmosphere of Montecarlo.
A palette inspired by the Casino’s elegance
The color palette was inspired by the historic architecture of the Monte Carlo Casino, with warm, natural tones that highlight timeless elegance. The interiors are dominated by light, neutral shades, enhanced with touches of green that act as a guiding thread throughout the different spaces. In the dining room, design merges luxury and comfort: a white lacquered wooden table, wool-upholstered chairs, and green blown-glass lamps create a distinctive, refined identity. In the living room, the social heart of the apartment, the focal point is a large white bouclé sofa, resting directly on the floor, conveying a sense of comfort and conviviality.

Le Prince de Galles is one of Monte-Carlo’s most sought-after residential addresses, rising across 17 floors with stunning views over the Casino and the Mediterranean Sea. Indeed, the building combines contemporary architecture with an enviable location at the heart of Monaco. Each residence benefits from generous terraces, abundant natural light and the refined atmosphere that defines luxury living in the Principality.
Spazio Italiano was entrusted with the interior design of selected residences within Le Prince de Galles, bringing its signature Italian craftsmanship to one of Monte-Carlo’s most prestigious buildings. Furthermore, each space was conceived as a bespoke environment — tailored to the residents’ lifestyle, with carefully selected materials, custom Italian furniture and meticulous attention to every detail. As a result, the interiors seamlessly blend contemporary elegance with the warmth of Italian design tradition.
The project drew inspiration from the building’s exceptional setting — the iconic Casino de Monte-Carlo visible from the upper floors, the shimmering Mediterranean below. Whether in the living areas, bedrooms or private terraces, every room was designed to enhance this connection between interior and exterior. Finally, the palette of noble materials — fine stones, lacquered surfaces and handcrafted Italian furniture — was chosen to reflect the timeless elegance of Monaco itself.
Terrace and pool: outdoor luxury in Monte Carlo
Special care was given to the outdoor area, a key element of the project. The terrace with private pool, offering breathtaking views of the Casino, was designed with materials able to withstand the weather while maintaining elegance: teak wood furniture and light fabrics with blue accents harmoniously blend with the water and the Mediterranean landscape. The result is a residence that embodies intimate luxury and Italian design, echoing Monaco’s architectural heritage while embracing an international lifestyle that thrives between refined interiors and open-air living on the Riviera.
